Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
Graduate program was nice, very well structured and with PLENTY of nice food. We were spoiled. The day-to-day training was lack by the part of my immediate supervisor.
Professional Engineer, Auckland - 10 Nov 2023
Have been well support by team to learn the required skills for sustainability.
Graduate, Melbourne - 10 Nov 2023
Always holding lunch and learn sessions
Graduate, Melbourne - 10 Nov 2023
Currently - the mechanical team in Canberra has improvements to make to the structure to support the graduates better.
Graduate, Canberra - 10 Nov 2023
Most training is on job or outside of work hours. Plenty of resources are available.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Nov 2023
Lots of opportunities to learn on the job. The grad specific training can feel out of touch with the day to day tasks of graduate engineers.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Nov 2023
AECOM University, CPD Sessions within our team
Professional, Brisbane - 09 Nov 2023
2 Day Graduate conference in the beginning of the year, various online training modules, training day at the end of the year. It was mainly focused on learning about the company and culture.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Nov 2023
Wide range of internal trainings throughout grad programme.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Nov 2023
The formal training is lacking and generalised. We were not trained in the day to day workings of things e.g. file structure, who to talk to about what and how to book leave etc. It heavily relied on your buddy who can be busy/ relatively new themselves and not know. The informal training given within the team was great, everyone was nice and willing to help.
Graduate, Perth - 09 Nov 2023
Regarding training, AECOM has a university platform for technical and professional training. AECOM provided external training to do the inspections, including working in height and confined spaces.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Nov 2023
I am happy with the level of on the job technical training and instruction on principles relating to my work
Professional, Brisbane - 09 Nov 2023
On the job training is generally quite good. I would like more training resources for my area within AECOM uni or at least links to that.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Nov 2023
The formal graduate programme training is not incredibly useful. AECOM Uni is fairly helpful with a wide range of programmes to help you learn.
Graduate, Auckland - 08 Nov 2023
Graduate program is pretty poor - all content is online now and does not recognise the various levels people are at. Not engaging and repetitive.
Graduate, Melbourne - 08 Nov 2023
Formal training is very broad but was good. Technical training is on the job with seniors in the team.
Graduate, Sydney - 08 Nov 2023
Online training, sometimes we have workshops but not much really.
Graduate, Sydney - 08 Nov 2023
Should only be a 1 year grad program. The formal component has good webinars throughout and in person events at the start and end of the year. The second year was more sparse and some of the content was things already learn on the job.
Graduate, Melbourne - 08 Nov 2023
Mainly learnt what I have from learning on the Job. I did not have opportunities to attend all in person training sessions. I felt they were more focused on keeping our cohort tight knit. To me, did not really work.
Professional, Brisbane - 08 Nov 2023
Limited formal training opportunities, informal training is up to the good graces of work opportunities. It is up to grads to constantly ask for opportunities that they think will provide them with valuable experiences and a lot of false promises for requests for types of experience.
