Very flexible
Graduate, Canberra - 07 Nov 2023
Very flexible, I currently WFH 2 days in the week so I can help take care of my elderly mother. Last week she was unwell so I went home early and continued to work from home on a normal 'office' day, because they understood I wanted to be home for mum.

Good flexibility. Able to choose own hours and build/use flex

In my own position I can work 7.5 hours anytime between 7 am and 7pm. Whilst I have regular set hours (9-5), my team doesn't mind me altering those slightly, just require knowing if I'm running late. I also have the ability to build up flex by working 15-30 minutes extra some days, and then using that extra time to take time off later. However I am, once again, the exception. Most places have very strict start and end times, and service officers are not allowed to build up leave without express permission.

I would like the option to WFH as other colleagues do. I would also like to only work 4 days but as the newest member of my team I have been advised working FT hrs in 4 days as other colleagues do is not an option.

Although there is mandatory office attendance within my business stream, I have been supported and recognized for not only coming into the office frequently (especially starting out), but also in WFH. As someone that works 2 jobs, a lack of a hardline on office attendance increases my overall motivation to work. These means that I want to work every day that I can and have worked hard to ensure my overall outputs does not differ either working from home or the office. I'm also probably more introverted than most and make a concerted effort to ask for help when I unequivocally cannot find the answer somewhere else. Again, this has been recognized by the Data Exchange stream and I have felt because of this, I have been managing myself in my initial time with the agency.

Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Oct 2023
My team is flexible about working from home ad hoc. I work 2 days a week from home and am able to extend that in emergencies or to cater to my carer responsibilities or health problems.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
I work my 7.5 hours and I can accrue flex when I want and how I want after having discussed with my manager. I also enjoy working from home two days a week. Occasionally I would say I can do my assigned tasks in less time than I must be at work but overall I am glad I can just do my 7.5 hours with no expectation of any more at my current working level
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
Usually I work 8-4:30. I am able to take flex and that allows me to take a Friday or Monday or both off every now and again so I can travel home to visit family. My team encourages a great work life balance and is accommodating to all team members situations.

I am able to leave at my agreed work time every day and am not required to stay back. If I am, I accrue flex and am able to use this if needing to attend personal appointments/leave early for other reasons etc. My company is fairly supportive of flexibility as long as reasonable notice is given.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
Show up when I want, leave when I want. Anything over 37.5 is coded as flex. Work from home twice a week if I need.
Graduate, Perth - 30 Oct 2023
Good flexibility in current role to WFH when needed (regularly 2 days a week WFH)
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
Work is not as flexible as I would like, making me go into the office where none of my team work 3 days a week
