Graduate, Townsville - 12 Aug 2024
Formal training is extensive but can easily be forgotten. There are many online modules to complete before conducting any work, but the information provided in these modules can be forgotten the first time around. It is important to refresh your knowledge regularly and to utilise these learning modules to your advantage. On the job training can be good or great depending on who else is in your team. A great supervisor can teach you a lot about how to best conduct site works and the proper way with going about tasks.

There hasnt been a whole lot of training besides the grad program, but I have been able to pick up a lot of new and forgotten skills during my time working here. I am planning on attending some workshops aswell to further my skills

Bolt modules are long and somewhat basic in terms of content.

Our training programs include foundation training, geotechnical training, and stormwater training. Additionally, collaborative work with colleagues enhances on-the-job learning. These programs have helped me develop skills in geotechnical analysis, stormwater management, and teamwork

BOLT training, cover quite a lot of different topics for new staffs
Graduate, Townsville - 30 Jul 2024
There is a formal commencement program for graduates and a formal program for those ready to move onto project manager roles and in between these two formal programs, the duration is filled with informal and on the job training. Most of this comes about by trying new and different activities in projects and asking for different work activities. There are no formal mentoring programs, but colleagues in senior leadership roles will guide and mentor informally.

The training and development program is well organised. The program is divided into three modules, we've just completed the first module, which was about getting to meet and connect with all the new graduates and company leaders and learning more about the company and what to expect.
Graduate, Brisbane - 29 Jul 2024
Formal training includes the Graduate Program which is 3 modules across 18 months. The training you get doesn't really teach you much at first but more so the friendships and teamwork you do along the way is what sticks.
Graduate, Melbourne - 29 Jul 2024
Completing module 1 od the training, i have been more active engaging with coworkers and networking with senior engineers to learn from them.
Graduate, Perth - 29 Jul 2024
I've mostly learned as I've gone. Picked up things from different people I've worked with, driven by my curiosity to expand my skillset. The graduate foundation program is the first formal training I've been apart of. During the first module I learned about myself a little, and got to meet lots of new people which was nice. In terms of technical skills, I didn't learn a thing.
Graduate, Brisbane - 08 Jul 2024
Confined space training was excellent, allowed me to get more interactive with my scope of works. it is good that the company allows for additional training outside of BMD. The grad program has been enjoyable so far, has been fun to meet new people.
