2020 Engineering and Computer Science Internships null

The Department of Defence, through the Defence Industry Internship Program (DIIP), is sponsoring 70 highly-competitive internships within the defence industry sector.

Interns are paid $915 per week for 12 weeks.

What is the defence industry?

Over 3,000 businesses across Australia. The men and women working in defence industry use their expertise, experience and skills to supply the Australian Defence Force.

The Australian Government is investing $200 billion to modernise Australia's defence capability. As a result of this investment, the defence industry will offer a range of rewarding opportunities working at the cutting-edge of technology and this is your opportunity to experience this growing sector.

Who should apply?

• Third or fourth-year full-time engineering or computer science students
• Excellent academic record
• Australian citizen
• Able to commit to 12 weeks of full-time internship between November 2020 and March 2021.
• Never previously undertaken a defence-sponsored internship
• Motivated to make the most of an internship
