Eligibility:

• Tertiary qualifications in one or more of the following areas: Bachelor of Town Planning; Bachelor of Urban Planning; Bachelor of Transport Planning, or an equivalent qualification
• Full Australian working rights must be held from when you start with the department and maintained throughout your employment.
• A criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment as this role has access to sensitive data

Your role:

TMR manages a large and diverse transport network, which requires strategic and timely investment. We manage the road and rail system, and the maritime environment. We are involved in every mode of transport across Queensland. Electrical and Information Technology Engineering is key to ensuring the network continues to operate safely and effectively. 

In the role of Graduate Electrical/IT Engineer, you will be involved in projects associated with both Electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). By using computers, communications, controls, electronics, and systems engineering, ITS offers the potential of improving safety, reducing congestion and improving mobility for road users. You will be involved in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of these systems as well as traffic signal and road lighting projects.
