What a typical day will look like

As a Construction Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest Oil and Gas, Mining and Infrastructure projects in the Australian and Asia Pacific regions. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping senior team members in reviewing construction/engineering contracts
  • Exposure to quantity surveying, cost management, contract administration, commercial or contract management, and forensic delay analysis
  • Use of project management/planning software such as Primavera P6
  • Supporting leading Quantum and Delay Experts involved in international arbitration and litigation
  • Assisting senior members of the team involved in the preparation of contractual claims (for time and money) on construction and engineering projects
  • Management/analysis of and/or manipulation of commercial information/cost data (MS Excel)

What will help you to become our Graduate

  • Construction Management, Surveying, Law or building-related degree
  • Soft skills, such as empathy and respect: the ability to understand and recognise clients' needs and work well with our people
  • Some work experience in construction, mining, engineering or project-related roles is highly regarded
  • An interest in construction law and dispute resolution, with a desire to pursue a career with a leading international construction consultancy
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • An interest in obtaining professional (chartered) status post qualification
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel
  • This role will require travel to client and FTI offices
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
