      As an undergraduate in GHD, you will be provided with practical, on the job experience within a technical field aligned to your studies and where possible, to your aspirational career path.       To help facilitate transitions into our Graduate programme, our internship experience is designed for students in their second-to-last year of studies however, is open to students from earlier years as well.

      Who are we looking for?

      We are looking for students who will be continuing their studies next year in a Bachelor or post-graduate qualification. We have opportunities for students within the following business groups. To help understand your interests, our application process will allow you to nominate two areas that you may wish to gain exposure to:

      • Transport (civil infrastructure, traffic engineering, bridges and traffic planning)
      • Environment (Air quality, Noise/Acoustics, Contaminated Land, Ecology, Flora & Fauna, Environmental Approvals and Planning, Geotechnical, Sustainability)
      • Water (civil infrastructure, storm water, wastewater, project management)
      • Structures (Property and Buildings)
      • Mechanical and Electrical (Building Services)
      • Architecture and Interior Design and Fit Out
      • Geotechnical Engineering or Geology
      • Planning and Stakeholder Engagement

      All our summer internship position commence in late November / early December (depending on your exam timetable) and will run across the summer break in a full time capacity until late February.
