The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Graduate, committed to developing their career in our Engineering Team for the Hastings Deering 2023 Graduate Intake.  

The Hastings Deering Graduate Program provides talented individuals the opportunity to develop their Engineering career with an industry leading organisation. Our three-year program will provide genuine hands-on experience, on real projects and exposure to all facets of the Engineering Function in one of the top 5 Caterpillar dealers worldwide. 

Program Overview

• Commence January 2023 with other Graduates in your cohort
• Three-year program with cross-functional business exposure 
• Structured rotations through Engineering and Technical Services, Asset and Lifecycle Management, Project Management, Mining Sales and Product Solutions
• Develop networks and friendships through graduate sponsored activities
• Coaching, mentoring and professional skill development
• On the job training and education - apply your tertiary studies to real life experience!
• Opportunity to travel to Mackay for a 6 month rotation, to gain Engineering experience in a fast paced and large business centre  

About You

• Recent graduate (0-3 years) or expected to graduate in 2022 
• University qualification in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Mechatronics
• Willingness to travel to Mackay for a 6 month rotation, with flexible travel options available 
• Strong communicator, customer service focus and team player!
• Exceptional problem solving and organisational skills
• Committed to developing your career in Engineering at Hastings Deering
