The Role

Working under the supervision of experienced engineers, duties will include:

• Schematic capture and printed circuit board layout
• Generation of design and manufacturing documentation
• Embedded firmware development in C on a range of microprocessors
• Verification of prototype designs, including environmental and EMC compliance testing
• Assisting with the transfer of completed designs into production
• Analysing and solving production problems, including fault-finding circuit boards and end products
• Assist with the development of custom test equipment, jigs and test harnesses
• Participate in product design reviews, making recommendations for manufacturability and testability
• Suggest and implement improvements to manufacturing processes
• Depending on technical background, create and maintain automated test scripts and software

Things that matter to us:

• Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics or Mechatronics (at least 3 years of study complete by summer 2022)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
