Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern position at MicroSec offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced environment of a high-growth cybersecurity startup. The intern will work closely with our leadership team to contribute to various strategic initiatives and assist in driving the company's growth trajectory. We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern to join our commercial team. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in lead generation, sales prospecting, and communication skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in identifying and qualifying potential leads through research and outreach.
  • Conduct outbound calls, social media and emails to prospects to initiate conversations and generate interest in our products/services.
  • Determine prospect needs, challenges, and decision-making authority.
  • Liaison with partners and customers
    Communicate the benefits of cybersecurity solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted prospecting strategies.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage and track lead interactions and progress.
    Assist in creating and optimizing sales collateral and email templates.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Do activity tracking and reporting

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled (or immediate graduate) in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • A strong interest in technology and cybersecurity, with a willingness to stay informed of the latest trends and developments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed in sales.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is advantageous but not required.
  • Passion for cybersecurity and willingness to learn.
  • You possess startup DNA, which means you are a hustler and thrive in establishing structure amidst ambiguity
