The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic software engineer to be part of a knowledgeable and supportive team. In this role, you will be working closely with a group of highly experienced data analysts and developers with extensive industry experience, providing support to our existing systems and enhancing our current processes that cover all aspects of the data lifecycle, including:

  • Custom software that utilises and processes large datasets
  • Custom APIs that provide data to our clients
  • Database management
  • Cloud based and local infrastructure
  • This is a unique opportunity that will focus on delivering solutions & innovations

What You'll Do

As a part of the Software Development team, you will take on responsibility for projects powering our data intelligence as well as creating online customer facing solutions. Due to being a small business, with ~ 20 people, you will have ownership and control over your own projects which will include working closely with Management, Sales, Operations, IT, and other developers.

Skills and qualifications

  • A University degree in IT or a related discipline.
  • A firm grasp of:
    • Microsoft .Net, C#
    • Web Technologies such as Angular, Node.js, PHP, Lamda etc.
    • Relational databases (SQL) or other similar query languages
    • No SQL databases (i.e. Elastic, MongoDB)
    • Object-oriented methodologies
    • Strong algorithmic thinking and proficiency with data structures and problem-solving
    • Cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, etc)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • AWS Certified preferred.
