Working Hours at PwC Australia

7.7
7.7 rating for Working Hours, based on 57 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
I love the flexible work arrangements. As an introvert this is something I appreciate about my role, but I also relish the opportunity to come together with fellow solvers.

Working hours are very flexible, have not had an unreasonable amount of days where overtime was required, if anything underutilised.
Graduate, Perth - 09 Aug 2024
On average standard 9-5:45
Graduate, Sydney - 05 Aug 2024
contracted 7.5 hours, however the team often exceed this. Middle management come in early and leave late. Relative flexibility on times and location however team culture is to come in well before 8:30 in order to get a preferred desk.

I am trusted and empowered to work when and where it suits me, provided I still discharge all of my duties and responsibilities diligently and in good faith.

Depends on the project your on and the amount of people resources to divide the work up.

Very flexible. A lot of overtime during busy season (which is to be expected). I think the recharge program is great but 30% of overtime is not great. I worked consistently till midnight (and later) for 5 weeks and got 5 days recharge. My friend who works at Lendlease (finance grad), worked for a week till 11pm and got 3 days off.

People are constantly ensuring that you are not working more hours than necessary. They truly care for your wellbeing. From time to time you may need to work more hours than just your standard 8:3-5 if a project is coming to the end but from my experience it is very sustainable.

The company is flexible when it comes to hours - if there isn't any work left to do then leaving before 5 is accepted. Similarly, working from home is flexible and always allowed. When there is lots of work however, it is expected people will stay late to complete work.

Very flexible working hours. But not in terms of number of hours.
Graduate, Brisbane - 05 Aug 2024
Very flexible which is great. They allow us to WFH very often, and we don't need to be in the office at any particular time, nor for any specific amount of time.

Hours aren't ideal during busier times, but the working environment makes it a lot more manageable.
Graduate, Sydney - 10 Nov 2023
The company seems to be extremely flexible when it comes to hours as long as it is reasonable and you inform/give people the heads up/keep everyone in the loop
Graduate, Sydney - 08 Nov 2023
work 7.5 per day
Graduate, Melbourne - 08 Nov 2023
I work 8am-4pm most days (30 minute lunch) and 1 day a week from home. Very flexible as long as you do the hours expected of you and your team no what your doing. I do get some comments and it has been noted like its a bad thing that I rarely stay back and I don't work weekends
Graduate, Perth - 08 Nov 2023
Super flexible in terms of wfh and working in the office. Also pretty good when it comes to changes in hours, starting early to finish early and vice versa.
Graduate, Melbourne - 08 Nov 2023
8:45-5:15 - flexible
Graduate, Melbourne - 08 Nov 2023
office once or twice a week, wfh rest of the time
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Nov 2023
Extremely flexible particular concerning I don't live near the office. Allows me to work for home primarily.
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Nov 2023
So flexible! Obviously when something is due you need to finish it, but there's no issues with ducking out for an appointment and coming back to finish off work after hours.
