RGB Assurance Pty Ltd. is an engineering consultancy that prides itself on the provision of excellent professional services and products in the niche areas of systems and software safety assurance. We have offices based in Brisbane and Perth.

We have a number of exciting systems development and analysis projects that we are pursuing, and many of our projects have a mathematical flavour to them. We are also currently engaged as either independent Safety Assessors (ISA) or Project Safety Advisors for 5 major rail infrastructure, signalling and systems projects across Australia. Our Perth office is currently providing systems and safety engineering services to BHP, Rio Tinto, Airservices Australia, and the Public Transport Authority of WA. Our website gives further examples of the work assignments we perform.

The position is a permanent, full-time, Perth-based appointment, and work would commence in January 2025 (or later, by arrangement). As a successful applicant, you will:

  • have the supervision of a small team of industry-leading experts in engineering analysis and the development of technological systems for Rail, Aviation, and Marine clients;
  • have the opportunity to work on flagship projects with big name clients in a number of important industries;
  • work in an enriching environment where continued professional development is supported (e.g., sponsorship of post graduate studies such as masters);
  • receive sponsorship and encouragement through the Engineers Australia pathway to achieving chartered status as a professional engineer;
  • be provided with a mobile phone, laptop, and free coffee; and
  • be offered an attractive starting salary.

We are interested in hearing from enthusiastic, articulate and analytical students who will graduate either at the end of 2024 or mid 2025 with an Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science degree.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • have programming experience;
  • have strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • possess excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • are willing to work as part of a team, with occasional periods of minimal supervision;
  • are able to commute daily to our offices on St Georges Terrace, Perth; and
  • have full working rights in Australia.

If you don’t meet all the above criteria but you are interested and willing to learn, we would still love to hear from you.

We are a collaborative company, so we strive to build an inclusive culture that values and encourages the diverse perspectives and approaches of our employees, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion, age, or physical ability. As a qualified applicant you will be welcomed for the unique contributions that you can bring. Please feel welcome to contact us if you have any questions.

Applicants should apply via email to recruitment@rgbassurance.com.au, incorporating:

  • a CV (including personal contact details and expected graduation date);
  • a full academic transcript; and

A covering letter that:

  • demonstrates how you satisfy the requirements listed above; and
  • explains why you have chosen RGB Assurance and what aspects of the role appeal to you.
