Your role

Great opportunity for a fresh graduate who can work Full-Time on a 6-month fixed-term contract within their Hydraulic sales engineering team at their facility in Adelaide, SA. The Hydraulic Sales Engineering Intern will work in the Hydraulics Sales team and is accountable for assisting in hydraulic design solutions, schematics, and electrical control solutions. Also, supporting in sales planning, tendering application process, key account management, and project management.

Specific Tasks 

• General office administration, client documentation, and procedures.
• Work with the sales team and customers to support the project engineering process with design reviews, project planning, and drawing submissions
• Assist customers with technical inquiries and product selections
• Work with the electrical control team to develop system functionality for machine designs
• Attend customer site visits and technical meetings as needed
• Design and drafting utilizing CAD packages including AutoCAD and Scheme Editor 
• Gain an understanding of hydraulic principles and applications    
• Assist in identifying new business development opportunities.
• Promote technical solutions to potential clients.
• Assist with the coordination of projects for the delivery of successful customer solutions.
• Assist in managing customer relationships, maintaining a customer database, and reporting on sales metrics.

About you

Role requirements:

• 2-year university base prior with Mechanical engineering or similar studies
• A strong team focus and personal work ethic
• Strong motivation and drive.
• Time management skills - effectively managing one's time and resources to ensure the work is completed
• Initiative to seek out and complete tasks
• Confident communication, and relationship building.
• Strong command of MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems
• Locally based with Australian Permanent Residency or Australian citizen
