The Fleet Engineer rotation program is a 3-year program. The first year will be spent in training focused on a broad exposure to Solar’s products and the Customer Service organization. After the 14 months of training, the candidate will spend 2 additional years in the district office as a Fleet Engineer. At this time, the selected candidate will be required to travel.

This is a hands-on position that requires travel and overtime, customer interface, and some possible offshore assignments. This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to Fleet Managers in maintaining and managing machinery management Agreements between Solar and customers. The Engineer facilitates equipment failure investigations and root cause determination with appropriate groups; compiles and submits engineering reports and analysis to fleet managers for review; supports fleet managers with alert management, preventative action reports, value tracking, and compilation of monthly reports and submission to customers.
He/She/They will participate in and support onsite condition assessments. The Fleet engineer will also support the fleet manager with service bulletin compliance and implementation of corrective actions as well as follow up on pending issues defined within the issue tracker. Fleet engineers must be well versed in both Solar and customer Health Safety Security and Environment management systems. Ensure compliance with the Health Safety Security and Environment requirements, and best practices and provide overviews to Field Service Representatives and other personnel who will be visiting customer sites.
