Our Underground Surveyor is an important member of our Mining team and the successful candidate will maintain survey control over the development and stoping activities of the Gwalia mine.

Currently the Site Survey team are implementing exciting underground Drone "Emecent Hovermap" technology.

Our Opportunity

  • Conducting survey pickups, CMS and scans for the development of as-built data for development, production advance, and reported volumes;
  • Completing high order survey control set outs for production drills, raise bores, and jumbo development to minimise over break;
  • Maintaining the upkeep of survey equipment and survey processes for reporting, logging, and archiving of survey data;
  • Installing survey control stations to industry best practice methods, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements; and
  • Producing survey plans for mining and safety activities.

About You

  • Behaviours consistent with St Barbara’s values;
  • Diploma in Mine Surveying (minimum) or equivalent;
  • Underground mine survey experience.
  • Have strong computer skills with competency in the programs Deswik, Surpac, Leica Infinity and Captivate Software;
  • Experience in the safe use of Optec V400 CMS;
  • Familiarity with the use of Leica TS 15, MS 60 Total Stations;
  • Familiarity with the use of Leica GS16;
