Bornhorst + Ward is one of Queensland's leading independent engineering consultants, with almost 60 years of world class engineering experience. Based in Brisbane, we are a multi-disciplinary practice, led personally by seven experienced directors who are actively involved in engineering and market development.

We are again seeking applications for entry level Structural Cadet Drafters to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. 

About the B+W Cadet Program opportunity:

Our dedicated Cadet Program has been operating for over 40 years. During this time, we have earned a reputation for producing industry leaders due to our dedication to developing and mentoring junior employees.

Successful applicants will be trained in the use of the latest BIM software and develop the technical skills to produce engineering drawings for a range of Structural projects. 

While this is a full-time role, Cadet Drafters are encouraged to undertake part-time study in the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering to further their personal development.

About you:

Ideal applicants will have:

  • A keen interest in technical drawing and 3D computer modelling, and a desire to build a career within the construction industry
  • An enthusiastic and proactive attitude
  • A willingness to learn and eagerness work alongside skilled engineering professionals
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
